Supportive Independent Living Program (SILP)
SILP supports 10 individuals within our community. SILP, which started in 1988, allows the individual to live independently while staff provide support in the following areas:
Mackenzie Training Centre
The Mackenzie Training Centre is a day program which opened in 1986. The centre operated the Second Hand Clothing Store, which now is known as Uncle Mack’s Second Hand Store.
The Centre offers a wide range of activities for the participants including the production of marker flags for RMs and surrounding areas, cutting and selling rags for use in the shop or garage, sewing of jean blankets, oven mitts, aprons and much more.
We are always looking for ways to expand our workshop activities, so you just never know what you might find offered in our store! We also provide support in daily life skills/social skills, recreational activities and community based outings whenever possible.
If interested in applying for services and supports, please contact the local Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD) office:
Yorkton Service Centre at 306-786-1300 or toll-free 1-877-786-3288.
